Ryan’s biological parents made bad choices and decisions that led them to addictions, jail, and prison. One by one Ryan was separated from his three brothers. Sleeping in a homeless shelter, foster care homes and his mother passing away from suicide destroyed his childhood.
Ryan struggled with anxiety, depression behavioral issues, academic struggles, self-esteem, and difficulty building meaningful relationships. In an extraordinary turn of events a police officer adopted Ryan and eventually his three brothers were reunited through adoption into a loving family of thirteen.
After high school Ryan got involved in drugs, alcohol and made wrong choices which resulted in multiple arrests. He had to pay outstanding court fines over $25,000. During this time Ryan lived in his car, or on friend’s couches. Life looked bleak for Ryan. He joined the military and was twice deployed to Afghanistan and found new challenges to deal with. His unit’s mission was to locate and destroy I.E.Ds. Ryan’s platoon had 32 soldiers and 23 were in Vehicles that got hit with an I.E.D explosions. Sadly, One soldier in his unit was killed in combat.
Returning home to Utah was a challenge for Ryan. He reflected on the challenges of his past knowing he wanted a positive future for himself and others. A born storyteller, Ryan powerfully and humorously relates his experiences to help others find hope and to overcome the challenges life hands you. He stresses the fact that you are the author of your own story. Ryan’s passion for the past several years has been to be a motivational entertainer and speaker. He is 30 years old and retired from the military, owner of a fitness app that will be marketed world-wide, a graduate of Utah Valley University, selected by Verizon Wireless for their Salute Award for America, and most of all he has a wonderful and loving wife and two beautiful daughters. Ryan has traveled around the world speaking and entertaining crowds of thousands while playing the piano laying upside down, and then blind folded.
He also sings county music and motivational rap while sharing his music videos which have been seen by several million thanks to his social medias. Ryan recently signed a contract with Broadcast Music, INC. (BMI) for distribution and royalties of his music. He has also had the privilege to open for different celebrities, and has been featured in fitness magazines, Military Valor magazine, local news stations, newspapers and on radio talk shows.
His passion is to entertain and motivate youth and adults to have a better perspective on life. It can be a tragic story or a positive story of overcoming challenges. The story of your life is a result of the choices you make.
